biography
Savita Taylor has a solid technical background, a strong grasp of
document design principles, and ten years of experience in the
technical communication field. She started her career at a software
company in Atlanta and went on to gain experience at an international
power corporation and a national Internet service provider.
In 2004, she founded
Taylor Made Documents, a small business focused on helping other small
businesses with their documentation needs. Now living in metro Washington, D.C., Savita continues to
share her professional skills with the community. She teaches technical
writing classes through Georgetown University and Fairfax County Public
Schools.
In 2006 and 2007, Savita
conducted technical communication workshops at the Blacks in Government
National Training Conference. She has also been published in Intercom,
the magazine for the Society for Technical Communication.
Savita is currently
pursuing a Master of Education in Instructional Design and Development from
George Mason University. She also holds a Master of Science in Technical and
Professional Communication from Southern Polytechnic State University and a
Bachelor of Textile Engineering from Georgia Tech.
